Hugh Raven talks to Jennie Robertson and other members of the Morvern Heritage Society about their Restoration of the Killundine Burial Site
A lively group of some 40 individuals helped create another memorable Weekend Event, on the theme of Vital Communities, in memory of Andrew Raven. Read Ruth Anderson's full report - many thanks to Ruth for her patience in scribing this, and thanks to Jennie Robertson for some photographs capturing our visits to different Lochaline community initiatives on the Saturday afternoon. The White House provided excellent catering throughout the weekend (www.thewhitehouserestaurant.co.uk) and our 4 keynote speakers provoked very different thoughts on the nature of vital communities, with Deirdre Nelson's artistic perspective proving particularly popular on the basis of feedback received both at the time and subsequently.
As the Andrew Raven Trust enters its second full year of life, the Trustees are thinking hard about how to develop its role as an advocate for sustainable rural development. Themes are being discussed for another annual weekend, next year, alongside discussions of other projects that the Trust might support or work with others to support.
